When opponent surrender everything disappear

Hello,

is someone surrender every planet owned simply disappear. I can understand if the planet stay there but with no one. But in this way seems that the opponent destroyed the planets when lose. If someone surrender he normally has to give to the winner everyhing, no?

See the game options. There are two or three choices for how you want surrendering to work, including one that turns off surrendering entirely. What you saw was the default setting, but a lot of us change it before starting a new game.

So you confirm that this game consider surrendering something like the destruction of all the planets owned?

Ok, I'll deactivate the related option. Maybe the authors should consider surrender a kind of diplomatic affair, where the winner decide the conditions of accepting the surrender (all the planets? some of them? just the money? the starbases and the destruction of all the ships and the shipyards?) .
