General Windows Question

Okay, I will do my best to describe what I want/need. I am currently using Y'z Dock and various other skin programs. I have my "start bar" (using a mac skin) at the top of the screen. I have my Y'z Dock on the bottom of the screen.

Here is the problem. When I open a window, the window knows not to go under the start bar (just becuase that's how it is with Windows). However, Y'z Dock, other than forcing it to stay on top of other windows, has no way that I know of of forcing the bottom of a window to resize to where it fits on top of the Y'z Dock instead of under it.

I hope I explained it well enough. If needed, I can make some screenshots of what is happening and what I want to happen instead. Thanks in advance!

I have y'z dock also and I couldn't find a way to do what your talking about. You can make the dock not be always on top and when you drag your mouse to the bottom of the screen it pops up on top until you move your mouse off of it and click. You could also not maxamize the window and manually resize to fit.

I bet there is a program somewhere that does what your talking about, but having y'zdock pop up when you move your cursor to the bottom of the screen not only is almost as functual it gives you more desk space.

I'm just waiting for the next objectdock and cross my fingers it will work better then y'zdock, but right now y'z dock works better for me.

Thanks a ton for the reply Travis. I'm just glad I explained myself well enough to where someone understood my problem!

I'm to lazy to manually resize my windows thou, so I guess I better just deal with it. Thanks again!

I think desktopx has an option to do what your saying, but Im not sure. Something like reduce work area. You might want to find out about it.

Enjoy the version of Yz Dock that you have. Apple's cease and desist order to the maker is in full effect, and I read there will be no forthcoming versions of the application, and besides I think object dock is better anyway, but that's just my 2 cents worth.
