Somebody made a boo-boo

And it was me that made the first one. I've made 7 new calendar sets, and tried to upload them as a single batch. That produced an error during uploading, so I figured that was because the file size was too large. So I uploaded them individually. This was successful, and they showed up under 'my skins' as 'waiting for approval'. Unfortunately, I had made a mistake with one of them and uploaded a jpg instead of a zip. I updated that particular set before it was reviewed. Just a few minutes ago, I received an email that that particular set was rejected...I figured I knew why.

My question is; what happened to the other sets I uploaded? I only got the one rejection notice, but all of them have disappeared from 'my skins'.

The calendar docklet by AndreasV. I made them in the same style as the clocks I recently submitted.

digital_tucker..... that was me.  I didn't notice they were all around 3 megs, I just saw all the varations of a single theme, and was requesting you include them all in one set. I realize now that all of them in a single zip would be very large. I'll put them back in the cue........ sorry.

np, I figured it was something like that. If they were combined, the zip file would be a little more than 21 megs...a tad large, I think.

Im on a DSL. 21 megs wouldnt be too much for me to handle, but It would be nice to have T1.

And its wireless,no cables or telephone lines.Can be used anywhere in town with a laptop and wifi card.Not bad for a hick town of 5000 people. Who woulda thunkit...technology in the boondocks.

The sound of a modem dialing and waiting for connection only to get kicked off at some point. Do I miss that? NOT! I will NEVER go back to dialup.

Ha, you just don't know how exciting that is, after all you never know how long it takes until you loose your connection and you have to restart that 3Mb (1 hour) download!!!!

40 a month...just did a test,hit 2.1 megabits My problems usually only come from slow or busy servers.On a fast server,a full screen image can just 'pop' in.A dl like a WB can sometimes complete as fast as you click and release.

aufisch...3Mb? That's nuthin'...you haven't lived until you've downloaded SP3 (a bit more than 1Gb) for Win2K on dial-up.

True, but I downloaded SP1 for XP (100+Mb). I just started the download in the evening and let is run all the night!!

1 gig would kill me though!!

Do yourself a favor, and get a "download manager" (FlashGet, GetRight, DAP, and many more) and you won't have start over on most downloads. You'll be able to resume from where you left off.

Unless I missed it:

Why is the file so large? It jpg's isn't it? Even bitmap files zip pretty nicely.

How did it end up being 21 megabytes?

It are PNG's zipped I think. He said he uploaded a JPG by mistake.

The reason the combined zip is so large is because there were seven calendar sets in it. Each set has 44 PNG's in it, in addition to the ini file.
