Moderator appreciation thread!

Hey! I moderate a couple of boards and I know how hard it is. IMHO, the moderators here do a fine job, else I would stay on my own board more. I don't like to chime into those other threads because I hate to bounce that crap to the top (excuse my language). It really gets a little hard to sit and watch all those derisive and divisive comments and not say my two bits. I just wish that when people decide to air their private grievances here in public, they would stop and remember that they are contaminating my board too, and about seven-hundred thousand other people's board. No one can speak for me... and I am here to say that JAFO, BoXXi, Pax, Koasati, KarmaGirl, Mormegil, MikeB, DavidK and and anyone I forgot have all my respect and gratitude. Job well done, all of you!




And don't you dare come in my thread and start slinging mud. I will remember that a long, long time.

Any time people wonder why the 'real' Police are called 'pigs', 'filth', 'fuzz', 'old Bill' and numerous other 'negatives', just remember there are those in the public sector who loathe anyone in responsible position/s but will scream for their assistance the instant it suits them.

For some, no-one's degree of patience or understanding will ever be sufficient.

Thankyou, Diane.  I know all the admins/moderators enjoy the positive feedback they get from time to time.....helps to counter the angst from the few....

In a perfect world, more people would seek responsibility, or at least take responsibility for their actions. Until that utopian ideal is attained, those who willingly give of themselves to help others and do their best to maintain order and reduce chaos have my respect and gratitude.

I haven't been coming here that long, but long enough to appreciate the hard work and positive results of the efforts of all of you. Thank you.

Truly it's not said often enough. This is one of my favourite places to hang out. Thanks to all. And thanks WOM for all the help you've given many of us.

Boy cant disagree with that. They are doing a got job moderating and keeping me out.

Ok quit the joke. I got to hand it to you, you guys are great. I know how hard moderating is, scince i have also done it. You get all kinds of stuff and filtering it for he users is a hard thing. The have put in thier faith in you and you have to keep up. SO A THUMBS UP TO ALL THE ADMINS/MODERATORS. YOU ROCK

This is, of course, my favorite site, which says all that need be said about the uppers' abilities to handle all matters forthcoming. But I also see nothing wrong with the intermittent mud pie or two, as long as it's in the vein of intellectual discourse and not simply slinging them for the sake of character assassination...
