Installation anomally

from Stardock Forums

This applies to any version of Start11 on my Windows 11 installation.

After installing Start11, currently V1.2 beta, my Start Menu has an extra entry of "Stardock Start11" listed above the "Start11" entry in the Stardock folder of my Start Menu.

I have used Revo Uninstaller Pro to completely remove all Stardock programs. I have then re-installed my Stardock programs, one at a time, and I still get an extra entry for Start11.

My computer came with Windows 11 Home and was upgraded to Windows 11 Pro. This problem was also there prior to the Pro upgrade.

I have another laptop computer that was upgraded from Windows 1 Pro to Windows 11 Pro. This laptop shows a single correct Start Menu entry of Start11, when Start10 was upgraded to Start11, in the Stardock folder.

Thank you for reporting this.  I have been able to reproduce this.

It seems to be an error as it is linking to S11Search64.exe which is not a process a user should be running.  Feel free to delete the entry.

Neil, This is a screenshot of the expanded, right-click, on the menu item "Stardock Start11".

The only applicable selection is to uninstall.

The Programs and Features app only shows Stardock Start11 with the proper icon. Selecting Uninstall will remove the program, not the erroneous menu item.
