Dragging window on secondary computer is extremely laggy

I have Multiplicity set up on my desktop and I'm controlling my laptop, which is connected to the same switch over a wired connection. Most everything works great. My mouse cursor isn't typically laggy at all. However, that is not true when I try to drag a window on the secondary monitor. It's extremely slow and laggy. I wonder if anyone has seen this specific issue.

Do you have a gaming mouse that runs at an incredibly high polling rate (say 1000Hz?)  A normal desktop mouse runs at 125Hz so gaming mice cause considerably higher load on a system.

This can cause an excessive amount of messages sent by Multiplicity and expose an issue if you drag a Window with blurred transparency in the background of it as thats very gpu intensive and updating so often is costly.

Thank you so much! This was it.  I do have a gaming mouse. It's an EVGA X17. I had tried adjusting the DPI earlier today and that had no impact, but your reply got me to go and look at that some more. The setting you mentioned is called the "Report Rate" in their control panel and bumping it down to 125Hz works perfectly now.
