Start11 Breakses the Fullscreen of games

hey there,

i'm currently trialing Start11 and I found my first annoying problem.

When I play Deep Rock Galactic which is setup to be Fullscreen, the cursor get's on the bottom left of the taskbar which has the Weather widget. On mouseOver that widget gets triggered and it pops up losing focus of the game.

Any way to fix this?

Thanks

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know you on Windows 10 or 11? And its full version number please. Use Windows "Winver.exe" to get those. Also Start11 version numbers.

thanks

Please get the latest Start11 V1.17 Beta : Use the link listed on first post in this page : https://forums.stardock.com/510929. Install that version, reboot and retest. Report back here please.

Thank you,

Are you sure that isn't happening without start11 too?

The weather widget causes a popup to show on mouse over with or without Start11.  This was a recent change in Windows 11.

When you say fullscreen do you mean maximized so the taskbar shows or filling the entire screen so the taskbar isn't visible?

Fullscreen as the game is fully maximized.

It's is not "Windowed Fullscreen".

So on this :

"When I play Deep Rock Galactic which is setup to be Fullscreen, the cursor get's on the bottom left of the taskbar which has the Weather widget. On mouseOver that widget gets triggered and it pops up losing focus of the game."

You mean when the mouse gets to where the taskbar widgets button would be (but is covered by the game)?

Even if the cursor is not visible, the cursor in theory still exists. What I noticed is that the hidden cursor gets over that bottom left widget... and the widget window wants to appear, then it's getting the game out of fullscreen. That's how I noticed that the cursor is there.

I think maybe I found the problem.

I'm opening a picture in Fullscreen using IrfanView. If I am to hover the cursor over the bottom parts of the screen, the taskbar wants to appear, like sliding over. It animates in but then it dissapeares.

I turned off Start11, and the problem went away. However, I re-enabled Start11 and I can't reproduce this... :D
