Help creating animated retro fighting game background wallpapers

Hello!,

I've been trying to create animated retro fighting game background wallpapers by recording my PC's screen while having a .gif playing in full screen to make a 30 second .mp4 clip. When I make a .dream with the video the resulting wallpaper plays through really fast and then stops.

Is this an encoding problem? If so can you suggest a way to export the video to the proper parameters?

I would love to create a bunch of these and perhaps share them with the community.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

I have over 4500 dreams in my gallery so I know a little .

But a .gif won't work , you need actual video footage not a video of a .gif to make dreams .

So 15 seconds of any video footage ( high resolution ) converted to MP4 or AVI ( for best loops )

and for good loops the video may require some video editing .

will work and play correctly as a dream file ( for you own personal use )

To upload them to the site then you may need permissions to do so and show links .

Hey thanks for the fast response!

Been tinkering around with it since my last post and I seem to have cured my issue within the last hour or so by duplicating the actual gif in a random video maker app and saving it, then opening the output video in the same app to crop! It just wasn't working with the screen recording of the gif for some reason. You were right!

Thank you for your assistance and knowledge, Azdude! When I get more versed with the software I'll see about getting those permissions to upload. Until then thank you!
