Mouse Position Incorrect In KVM Mode With 2 Monitors Using Different Windows Desktop Scaling

Hi,

I am running a laptop with a 4K monitor and an external 4K monitor.

The laptop monitor has "Windows Settings, Display Settings, Display, Scale and Layout, Change the size of text, apps and other items set" (which used to be referred to as desktop scaling) to 200%.

The external monitor has the same set to 100%.

When I connect from one of my other PCs in KVM mode, the mouse position on the screen is incorrect on both monitors.

If I set both monitors to 100%, the mouse position is correct.

If I set both monitors to 200%, the mouse position is incorrect.

As far as I can tell, Multiplicity KVM doesn't handle when the monitor it is showing is set to anything other than 100%.

Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround?

Hello, I am jumping on this thread as it pertains to a mouse issue. Using KVM and navigating on the secondary computer my mouse does not show up on that second computer. I only know where the mouse is because I have a script that highlights the mouse location. I've checked all the settings to no prevail. I to am using a laptop with two monitors on my primary machine. Neither are 4k just standard monitors.

I am having a similar situation to the OP.

Server is high DPI laptop with 200% scaling. It is connected to a 100% scaling external monitor.

Then it's connected to a second laptop with 100% scaling and an also 100% scaling external monitor.

When I pass from the high DPI display to the 100% one on the left (the other laptop) it goes, but if I immediately try to bring the mouse back to the right (the 200% scaling one) it just doesn't work.

My workaround has become to go up to the external monitor, right to another external monitor, and down back to the 200% scaling display. Could be worse, but it's still annoying.

I wonder if it would be so hard to come up with some calibration mechanism, where with a kind of wizard, one would pass the mouse from one side to the other between all displays, and confirm to the wizard where was the mouse actually supposed to be coming out. Then the wizard would adjust the "formula" to keep it working going forward.

Anyway, thanks a lot & good luck

This should be in its own thread as it is a completely different issue.  However, it is addressed here:

RampantCuriosity,

Can you please confirm if your issue is in Seamless mode or KVM mode since you didn't say.
