New to WinCustomize...

Hello,

I have a few questions, I have read the FAQ but would like a more direct answer if possible.

I am interested in changing my Icons and Win-XP OS skins (windows / start button ect.) Im not ready to start creating my own yet, first I want to see how this software works.

Do I need to purchase anything other than window-blinds and icon-packager to do this? Do I also have to subscribe to WinCustomize in order to download skins/icons?

Any recomendations on what "program setup" I need to start customizing my OS and Icons would be much appreciated, Thank you!

First, you do not need to subscribe to download. Second, you can download all the shareware programs to see if you like them. Remember that the shareware versions may not be as complete as the purchased ones. Third, the best way to make windowblind skins is to purchase Object Desktop. That will give you most of what you want, and its the cheapest way to go.

Yes, as WOM said. get the shareware or trial version of the programs you are interested in and see which ones best fit your needs [purchasing ObjectDesktop will give you all the applications and in the long run will be more economic than buying each program separate]
Once you make your purchase, let your imagination go wild as you will find a million-plus combinations to customize your desktop.

For $50, you'll get both of the above, plus a whole lot more, plus all the updates and betas for a full year. It's more than worth it.

Non-Stardock-customers are limited in the amount the are allowed to download from this site, but if you purchase Windowblinds, or any Stardock product, you'll have unlimited download.  Subscribing will also give you unlimited download, but if you are already a customer you don't have to. Although you still can to show your support for the site.

beware Orion! Once you enter, you'll never want to leave. It's not as much a desk mod as it is a complete change in lifestyle.

I've gotten more entertainment here than 19 other things I can name. Almost as much as 4 more I'm not allowed to name on this site! Trust me, you'll love it.
