What happened to the ratings?

All of a sudden the skin ratings are no longer displaying on my system. They were displaying fine through this morning (as of 12 noon Sep. 25). I have a full--and current--Object Desktop subscription.

From my understanding, you have to be a level 4 or an apprentice or higher.

According to what T-Man said recently, you are correct WOM. He also said that he was working on a bug in that area. Sorry guys, I guess he fixed it......

That's, just not nice

After 'bug' is fixed:

In order to rate a skin you must have Apprentice Access or UserLevel 4.
In order to view ratings you must have Apprentice Access or UserLevel 3

Do ratings matter to people? Honestly if it has a bad rating and I like it, I download it.

Um how do we know what level we are at?
I don't really care about the ratings, just wondering.

I think it matters to the one that has uploaded a shot! What i wander is who does the rating and what are the ratings based on.

as i'm level 4 i can give rates, but i can't see them on skins preview ... maybe something's wrong in the system ...

FYI- WC will be going through growing pains over the next month.  Little issues will come and go.  T-Man has his hands full with moving WC over to a new, larger capacity server that is on a bigger pipe of bandwidth.  Please be patient during this process as everyone is doing the best they can on this process. It should all be pretty much back to normal by the end of October.

For the rating thingy. I like to see them (I used to until yesterday) as I can see what admins + level 4 think of the skin. My filter is set to 1 or 0, so I can see all of them and see what other ppl give them.

It's a curiosity thing for me

I am just saying that it doesn't sway me, and I sometimes think that they are unnecessarily mean, at times. On other times, they are too giving. Certain authors are always praised and sometimes their work is not so good. I was not one to trust them. I liked it better when everyone could vote. I'm still mad that the rating system was ruined by a few bad eggs. >

I appreciate everyone's replies. I use the ratings as well as the user comments to separate out skins that may have a major problem, as I can't afford any system downtime. But of course that's just the "first cut"--if I like the skin and it has no reliability demerits I don't care what it's rated.
Anyhow, now I understand better how the system is "supposed" to work, when it's working. I also discovered I'm a Level 3, and didn't even know it. (Kinda sounds like Section in that old La Femme Nikita TV show.)

I wish more people would rate, but ratings do matter in the sense that citizens don't see the lower rated ones, and people with their filters set higher don't see them either, plus it's a big pat on the back to know what people rate your work as, although downloads are the biggest clue in as to how well it is. Usually people have no more than 3 ratings on each of their pieces, kinda bugs me, and the fact that people don't comment very much. I always make sure to rate, but usually only comment when i feel i have something to say.
