Which Multiplicity do I need?

I've checked the other posts, but none seem to ask my question exactly. I have a desktop PC with two monitors. Alongside, I have a laptop with just its integrated screen. If I buy Multiplicity KM, I believe I should be able to control both computers with one keyboard and mouse, simply by sliding the mouse to/from the laptop screen.  The only connection between the PC and the laptop would be that they're on the same wi-fi network.  Is that all correct?

Supplementary question... I currently use a physical KVM switch (and I would love to get rid of all that h/w & cabling). Currently, at the press of a physical button, I can switch between having control over the PC with its two screens, or the laptop with its integrated screen and one of the monitors.  Is that even possible with Multiplicity and, if so, which version would I have to buy?

Thanks for your consideration and any advice you can offer.

Yes.

It is . KVM or KVM Pro

It would be prudent to install the 30 day, fully functional version of Multiplicity Pro, trial to see if it meets your needs.

Thanks. The trial is now underway, and I'm happy with the functionality. I'm now looking to see which KVM version I need to buy: do I need Pro or not? It looks as though I don't need it, except that the second line in the version comparison table at https://www.stardock.com/products/multiplicity/ says the limit is "1 PC KVM". This may seem silly, but does that meet my requirement to run with one desktop PC and one laptop PC?  If so, surely it should say "2 PC KVM"?

Finally, is it possible to toggle between seamless and KVM mode? It looks to me as though I get back to KVM every time I use the hotkey I've set up.  Am I then in seamless mode if I simply go to the Multiplicity control panel and select the Seamless tab?  That's what looks to be happening but it's hard to be quite sure.

KVM = 8 Seamless PC connections, 1 KVM (remote) connection

KVM Pro = 8 Seamless PC connections, 8 KVM (remote) connections.

This has been working fine, and I'd be lost without it. I just responded to the trial reminder by purchasing a licence.  Just checking... it's only necessary to enter the licence key on the instance on the Primary, is that right? There doesn't seem to be any need to enter it on the secondary, but I don't want to be missing something and suddenly have it stop working.
