Window 11 Fences moves to primary screen on booting
I use a multiple screen configuration with all Fences on the secondary screen. The primary 4K screen is used for graphics and gaming. This way, I have all my functionality available when my primary screen is maximized with either what I'm working on or playing. Work smarter, not harder, right?
My system was upgraded to Windows 11. After that lengthy process with about 10 reboots, and updates (already? Win11 is just out!), all my Fences were located where they were supposed to be, on the secondary screen. I adjusted Fences to add a Quick Launch section since that was not in this Windows release. Everything was working fine when I shut down for the evening.
Booted up this morning and surprise, surprise, all my fences were moved to the primary screen. I moved Fences back to where I had them before and rebooted just to see if they stuck on the secondary screen. All fences were back to the primary screen and the size modified for the primary screen resolution. I'm assuming that this is just more Windows numb-skullery of how we minions out here work, just one screen. Interestingly, I've visited Microsoft in Redmond and every engineer I sat with had at least a two screen configuration.
Does Fences have a way or setting to make the Fences stick to the location and screen where we set them up to reside? If not, this ability needs to be added ASAP.
