Litestep question for Jafo.

Hi Jafo,

Started using Litestep today for the first time in 4 years. How come I can't get Iconpackager to work when accessing my computer. It shows the default icons. I'm running WinXP HE with Litestep as the shell.(Omar Husain distro). I have the latest version of Iconpackager as of about 3 months ago.

Thanks

I believe that Icon Packager only works if you use Explorer as the shell. I don't know if there is something similar to Icon Packager for Litestep.

if IconPackager does not work at all, that´s a problem with IconPackager.
you should be a able to change most icons (at least that´s what other software as IconPhile does).
in the NT line some icons can´t be changed when using an alternative shell (as LS, BlackBox, etc.), the only way to get around this is hacking shell32.dll (of course always make backups). not as comfortable at the first look, but as soon you´re into reshacking, you will be able to change all icons on your system and not only the few that customizing software does. (toolbar icons or control panel icons for example).

I only recently installed Icon Packager....[under LiteSTEP].....the proggy itself works.....but I haven't changed any icons......in LiteSTEP there's no need to do so...
