Crashes when I click the back button in folder portal

When it crashes a dialog tells me that "Fences has detected that Explorer was not closed properly. As a precaution, Fences has been temporarily disabled. To re-enable Fences, right click your desktop and choose "Enable Fences"."

When I do enable fences as instructed, the computer screen greys out for a second and then the dialog reappears a second time.

I have reinstalled twice, the dialog appears as soon as installation is finished. And no re-enbling can get Fences to work again.

And so I did the purge.bat+reinstall, this time fences was installed, and I could create a folder portal, double click to navigate into a folder, but as soon as I click the back button to go back up, Fences crashes and the dialog appears.

I have done the purge+reinstall twice as well, both time it crashed the moment i clicked the back button.

This issue started about a week or so ago.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more on your system.

  1. Windows full version numbers, you can get it using Windows "Winver.exe".
  2. Fences version numbers.
  3. Have you try Cleanboot to see if there is conflicting issues on your system with Fences? https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#cleanboot. Try it and report back.

Thanks
