Search box on explorer still showing white box after 2 YEARS since bug was reported.

Hi so I have loved Stardock for a long time, love your games, and your programs.
What I hate, are bugs that go unfixed.
So when I discovered that this problem has been discussed before and almost completely ignored aside from pointless platitudes, I was and am quite frankly still livid.

Since that forum post has not caused Stardock to fix this issue I am Reposting.


The search box is as usual replaced with the tiny white box and regardless of which skin is used it does not work.
In addition the minimize, maximize/regular window, close, frequently are missing, though I don't know if these problems are related.

Windows 10 Enterprise (19041.vb_release.191206-1406)
WindowBlinds 10.82 (057 - Windows 10 Edition) - 64 bit OS
It is the release version of both.
Your software has a bug.
It has a bug it has had for over 2 years.
FIX IT. NOW.

 

 

P.S
No you lazy schmuck, "we have a solution in the works" isn't going to cut the mustard.
You guys said that 2 years ago while it was a previous version.
So stop delaying.
Stop passing the buck, and fix it.

The majority of my ire is directed to the greedy selfish board members and executives who push development of new products and features over bug fixes.
You make great products suck.

I think the problem here is for some reason you are running a much older version (10.82 from July 2019 which predates Windows 10 1909) which is why you do not have the fix.  Exactly why you do not I cannot say unless you disabled the automatic update checks?

As the changelog here shows, issues with Windows 10 1909 were addressed in WB 10.83 as we said they would be : WindowBlinds History : Software from Stardock

The very latest version is WB 10.89 which is currently in beta and can be downloaded from your store account.

So you must really hate MSFT. Windows 10 still has bugs that were reported back in the Windows 95 era despite the fact that its based on NT's kernel.

I feel you on the bug issue however as a developer myself I understand how some things can take a while to fix. Also as Neil said do always make sure you are on the latest version and also try out the betas as many times they include fixes which haven't went live yet.
