sig: You can compare WW2 to the current situation because the human beings who fought and died for their country were as human as the human beings fighting and dying in Iraq today.

We mourn the loss of any of our troops but we have to also keep perspective -- we have sacrificed much more in the past when we believed in the cause.

I believe in the cause that our all volunteer force is fighting in and I suspect so do they.  More Americans died on 9/11 due to this war than have since. That is some cause for hope that progress is being made.
