Lost all icons on desktop after uninstalling Fences package

I lost all icons on my Windows 10 desktop. I had uninstalled the package, because I found the package too cumbersome. Now all icons that I had before have disappeared. Also, my attempt to copy icons from my taskbar and paste them to my desktop has failed.

If you right-click on desktop .. Show All icons .. they still don't show ?
