Multiplicity was able to connect to the computer, but your encryption key setting is incorrect. They key must be the same

Why is this happening, I check it 10 time and recreated it 10 times and made it so easy there is no way to get it incorrect yet the error?

I uninstalled the primary, secondary, I updated the primary secondary, still gives me the same error

how is 123456 not the same as 123456, that is my key just to test, I tried even simple keys like "password" still no joy

I even tried "whyisthisnotworking" or "stupidsoftware" or "whyme" as the keys and still the key is incorrect????

anyone else experiencing this?

Oh and NO Firewalls are ON, Zero Zilch, Nada, Nothing, it's so weird

Which version of multiplicity are you using?

If it is KM, did you enable the setting on the secondary to only accept encrypted connections?  Doing so would stop a connection being made as KM does not use encryption.

You will need to change the encryption key on both the HOST and SECONDARY computer. On the HOST computer, navigate to settings, and then to the "Setup encryption key". It should say CHANGEME. Change the encryption key to what you wish to set it to. On the SECONDARY computer, select "Change encryption key...". Be sure the set the encryption key to the same key as you have set on your HOST computer.

After all this, you should be all set!

If you still have issues, please be sure to comment on this thread and I'll take a look into it.
