Fences tweaks not holding

Hello, I made some fence size, location, name tweaks and all was well for a couple days but then the fences started reverting to their old location. The deleted fence stayed deleted and the names stayed as the new names but they all reverted to their old location. I made one new fence and it stays put. I have two good snapshots which I try to restore to, it does it correctly for about a half second, then flicks back to the old way.

I tried moving and resizing the fences to random spots and restoring to no avail. Any ideas?

Actual restore:

Thoughts?

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

Are you using any other monitor software like UltraMon, Actual Multiple Monitors, NVidia Surround?  If so, and you disable it, does it then still happen?

No programs like that. I do have some corporate nannyware by Cisco and some Citrix software and the like but they have been on from day one. As you'd expect I can't disable those.

Do you think the drastic step of recreating all of the fences from scratch would help?

While that would be an option, perhaps starting with an 'automatic layout', saving changes along the way via snapshot, would prove insightfull if it kept happening:

Hi I tried making just 1 new one and taking a snapshot. I moved something else and restored and the new one stayed put. Thus I went ahead and remade all the fences, they seem to be sticking for now. I will report back if they do not stick over the new few days.

Please to hear it.

If I had to guess, something changed your display names, thus, Fences was restoring to names that were not accurate.
