Remote desktop causing windows explorer to crash

In the last few days when I mouse-over or click a Stardock header while using remote desktop the screen freezes up and the page resets.

Both computers using latest version of win 10 and very powerful (SSD drives, 32 GB ram, etc.). Fences ver 3.09

Any ideas?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know, what changed recently? When it started having issues, what has change? Windows update? Graphics card update? etc. And how do you know Fences is the cause of crash.

Thanks

Thanks. I am not sure what has changed. I haven't added any new software or config. I do think there was a windows update that could have played a role.

The issue occurs when I click the header of a Fence or mouse-over a Fence that is collapsed. The screen freezes and it seems like Windows crashes and then when it comes back all the icons in the Fences look strange.

I tried to do what was said in both threads including creating a NEW admin local user account and changing the settings mentioned. Still having the issue. I have about an hour into this at this point. I don't have an appetite for much more. Each time it has an issue, I have to go to the local computer and restart it.

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here: https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#reinstalling Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purged. Reinstall, and Reboot again after the installation. Retest it. Report back here.

Thank you,
