Fix for eternal loading screen?

Im trying to play with my gf. It has already worked fine. Now like a week later we try to set up a MP game but when shes trying to join its just stuck on the loading screen for all eternity.

Is this on the Epic version? Have you tried going through the FAQ?

Ill try those things but... As it worked fine last week and it works fine single player i assumed it was something else

It is a wild guess but did she add any programs that would block GCMP form connecting.

No nothing new added. We turned off all firewalls. Checked integrity of files. Ran both Epic games launcher and the game as admin. Now suddenly it doesnt say "Loading" anymore. It´s stuck on "Setting up players".

If we try to load the save file from last week, as soon as I invite her she gets stuck on "Destroying the galaxy". Not sure what it could be. There was another game in multiplayer we tried to join and it also wont let her. Any ideas?

That what happened when I tried to run it on Linux.

I can not remember where but the final map building would not load.

It was either her computer our yours and you canceled out hers. That leaves me with your MP files are messed-up or blocking the incomming signal from her.

Other then that I would have to say "Devs Help".

@Reefalot: We have been doing some hotfixes for the Epic version of GC3 so using an old save file might not be a good idea. Can you try with a new game and see if it is working for you now?

Yes we been trying mostly new game. We just tried the old save to see if it works. Now just we uninstalled it and re-installed it again, same problem.

 

IF it is her computer blocking the connection i dont know how to fix it. And we havent added anything. We have disabled firewall.

 

She cant join ANY mp games in the browser. She can join games in CIV 6 so shouldnt be the firewall

I guess there´s no obvious solution to this. Especially weird since i can play with other friends on epic and it did work with my gf, and she can play other games MP.

 

Back to civ 6 i guess... I hope this gets solved in the future
