( Solved ) Fences disappear

Stardock Fences Version 3.09.11

All the fences and all the desktop icons are missing. Double clicking on background did not bring them back.

I checked the fences settings and configured as below:

Fences are enabled. Transparency is mid-range / Translucent fence background is disabled. Disabled desktop pages. Roll-up fences is disabled. Quick-hide is disabled.

Fences remain lost in spite of background double-clicking and rebooting machine.

Task bar flickers when background is double-clicked.

Desktop icons reappear when Fences is disabled and disappear when Fences is re-enabled.

Restored Fences configuration to a previous Layout Snapshot fixed the problem.

I no longer have a problem. I put so much effort into figuring this out and typing it up, I thought someone else may benefit from my efforts. My apologies if this is a duplicate.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Glad you make it working again. Most probably when you have missing Fences is because you have somehow send it to another Fences Desktop Page. You can learn how to use Desktop Page or you can disable it to bring it back. Do the snapshot restore should also solve it.

I tried changing the desktop page with the mouse. It didn't work. I have 3 monitors, so maybe I grabbed the wrong spot. I didn't try using the keyboard the change the page. I'll keep it in mind for next time.
