Is there something like this for windows in lunix U are given a wigget type app that allows U to have multiple desktops is there something like this for Windows.

If you have XP, you can grab one of the XP Powertoys from the MS site, which adds a small VWM section to the taskbar.

Does litestep offer a Virtual Window Manager or does it create wigets for the desktop. What I want is a wigget style VWM.

Control Center does that:

It also has many other features and you can use Band VWM

It sort of is.. you can use alternative bitmaps & colours for the buttons and desktop backgrounds etc (though not individual desktops AFAIK).

It doesn't respond to things like Windowblinds themes tho' if that's what you mean.

_LOOMIT_....yes, LiteSTEP has a number of alternative modules for VWM...[virtual Window Manager] or desktop switching...

I know what you mean. I have on of those for my dad's comp. I click a link on my desktop and it opens up his desktop and if he is using it you can see what he's doing (but sometimes he lockes it so I can't see... hmm I wonder why

). But I can't think of the name...

Bliss, that is different. What we are talking about is a way to organize your working desktop so that you aren't looking at 90 billion open windows at once.

You are talking about a program that remotely allows you to look at a different computer.

you can use Band vwm within an objectbar which you can skin as you please, so at least the container for your vwm can intergrate nicely with your chosen theme
