win 10 desktop / icons get stuck with Fences 3

Hello,

just upraded to Fences 3 in the hope to get my issue with Fences 2 solved -> issue is that clicking on icons on desktop and fences windows stucks (often the reaction came 2 - 4 sec later) -> which makes it unusable for me.

Deactivating Fence 3 does not help only deinstallation - after deinstall evering is working without getting stuck :-(

I am using Win 10Pro 20H2, Fences 3.0.9.11 .... and before you ask -> no Websense is used but Sophos UTM Home Firewall :-)

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try the purge and reinstall as mentioned here :

https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#reinstalling. Make sure to reboot after the purge. Re-download the latest version from your account. Reinstall Fences 3 in its default directory. Reboot again. Retest and report back.

I tried it but it doesn't help. I played around a lot the last two days - deactivating several apps & virus protection - nothing helped.

Now after two crashes (only system recovery helped), several hours, huge furstation I decided to deinstall Fences finally - even this was a pain as .bat file gave me the error "uninstall.xml" is missing ... but now after (again) several hours and many reboots I finally manage to get rid of Fence without loosing all my desktop icons - I can swear you I will never install it again and I really reget the money I have paid for the upgrade from Fence 2 to Fence 3.

System works now fine again (without Fence). Thus you can close this request.
