How do you get this Groupy shortcut on taskbar?

groupy shortcut

I have Groupy installed and licensed on two computers.  On my laptop, I have a shortcut pinned to the taskbar which when right clicked shows pinned groups, and recent groups.  I cannot for the life of my duplicate this shortcut on my taskbar on my desktop computer.   You can see an example of what I'm referring to below.

How do you create a shortcut like this?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Just try this. Open your saved groupy folder in Windows Explorer. Usually at "C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Roaming\Groupy" (replace xxxxx with your username). Click and drag on any one of your saved group over the taskbar until something like below screenshot appear. Release and Pinned groupy should appear. Right Click on it will make something like what you posted above. Try it and report back.

After following your instructions everything looks good but when clicking the pinned file, it opens the Groupy 2 Configuration window. Reviewing the Properties window for the file doesn't indicate that anything is wrong. If I double-click the file in File Explorer, it works fine.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, not sure if your issue and the OP is the same, please create your own new thread and we can help you from there. Also include more information, such as.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? Need its full version number. Use Windows own Winver.exe.
  2. Groupy 2 version number.
  3. It is best if you could post a video of this issue somewhere (for example: Youtube) and post its link in your new thread. Make sure to set it to public (in youtube) so we can view it.

Thanks
