DesktopX is wrong version...

I recently bought the Object Desktop suite and used Stardock Central to install DesktopX. I then tried to install a desktop object from the winCustomize website, but it told me the object was created using a newer version of DesktopX. I then checked the version that was being displayed in Stardock Central which shows v1.92c dated 8/13/2002. However, when I click the "about" icon in DesktopX it shows v1.3 build 305, dated 10/13/2002. This is the first install attempt. Do I need to register each component separately in order to get the most recent version, or does the one serial number for Object Desktop cover ALL the components? What am I doing wrong here? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In SDC under view check 'show pre-release version'

That doesn't explain why the version SDC says I have installed is 1.92c 8/13/2003, while the "about" for DX says 1.3 10/13/2002?

The "about" is sometimes not updated with the betas.  It is showing the about from the released version.  No matter what, you should be seeing a version newer than 1.92, however, as DX2 is almost to a released version.

Nope, the version SDC says I have installed is 1.92c and most of my objects cannot be loaded with that version. This is REALLY confusing!

You may want to refresh application data in "tools" and make sure that you still have "show pre-released versions" checked.
