Fences missing

Fences not visible on Windows 10 PC

from Stardock Forums

I've been using Fences for a while now, and I've never had an issue.  However, yesterday I remoted into my work PC (the machines that fences is on) and I didn't see any of the fences.   I logged on to the same machine today in person and for an instance I saw all the fences and the files in them, then they disappeared and I can't seem to get them back.

any ideas?

Windows 10 1907, Dell Optiplex i5, 32GB RAM, 3 screens (24")

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Did you try restoring a Snapshot ?

Unfortunately the snapshot did not work.  I don't see the Fences in the 09/09/2020 snapshot. 

I usually remote into my work PC using my home PC, the screens sizes are the same, 24".   

This started when I remoted in to my work PC using my laptops connected to a 27" monitor.

I am embarrassed to say that the obvious fixed the issue.  :blush:  

I just powered down my PC, and restarted.  Everything came back.

Should have been my very first step, however I've had Fences for years and never experienced an issue like that, so I overlooked a basic troubleshooting step.. (can you say The IT Crowd)
