When DeskScapes 10 locks up

It's rare, but DeskScapes will stop functioning for no apparent reason -- typically when loading from sleep mode. It can still be configured and paused/started from desktop, but it doesn't load videos and the one previously loaded doesn't run. Usually I can kill an app in Task Manager and then restart it, but despite doing so for two entries -- DeskScapes and Stardock Deskscapes -- the app remains as is. Is there any other option other than restarting the computer?

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Your running a Old Version of Windows 1903 , Deskscapes keeps updated to

run on the latest versions , it may help to try updating your Windows to its

latest version v2004.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

Actual 'sleeping' a PC, and the subsequent 'wake' can be an abrupt disruptive process - not just for DS but all installed apps.

If possible, adjusting your Windows power settings to just turn of the monitors would be less so.

Thanks for replies. I choose sleep because I don't want Outlook and Chrome (nothing else is running in sleep mode) activity with monitor and all drives off, and have only had this singular issue with DeskScapes...and that's rather rare.

I'm updating to Win 10 2004, which didn't auto update and I forgot to force the issue. Since 1903 with all updates and 1909 are identical including system files, I had no reason to update to 1909 and Windows update only updated 1903. We'll see if there's any changes in operation with 2004.

Thanks again for feedback.
