What amount of contribution will make me a level 3 user?

If you have to ask that type of question, then your not that sincere and you probably wont ever make that level. Posting dribble on the message board won't get you anywhere. By posting on the boards, they mean helping your fellow members. Talking them thru using windowblinds, cursors and so forth. Being an asset. Hope you understand what I'am trying to tell you.

Yeah I understand what you're saying. I think I misrepresented myself on my first post. It's not that I don't want to contribute, it's just I have never uploaded anything before, and my work doesn't exactly match up to most of the Wincustomize artists. I'm really apprehensive. Unfortunately I can't offer much help in the forums with problems as I don't have any Stardock programs.

You could always get a wincustomize subsciption (and yes they take check/money orders) and then be a level 4 user!

yeh. If you really want to get to a higher level just try hard, do lot's of nice things and help people when there stuck!

What does really give the user level ? Dont see any difference between level 1 and level 2 and level 3.. maybe rating skins ?

Kuala, there are two types of "ranking". There is the class and the level.

Classes are:
- Visitor
- Citizen
- Apprentice
- Master Apprentice
- Journeyman
- Master
Visitors are just anonymous users without an account. Apprentice and up can rate skins and have no bandwidth limitations, Journeymen can upload without moderation. To get promoted you must participate in the site. Upload considerably to the site with valuable artwork, help people, comment on artwork, participate on the messageboard on a regular basis.

Levels:
- Level 1: Equivalent to the visitor class. Anonymous browsers without a Wincustomize account.
- Level 2: Anybody who creates a Wincustomize account
- Level 3: Anybody who purchased any Stardock product, or Premium suite
- Level 4: Wincustomize paying subscribers.

The main difference between classes and levels is that classes rank people's participation to the site, in personal involvement and artwork contributions, while the levels are purely financial contributions.

I'm a level 4 and still a citizen.

Dreamdesign3d...that can be the result/problem of nick changeing....a person needs to be noticed/recognized as contributing before being promoted....and you 'were' 'Pretender', I think....so the awareness is diminished by the change...

Actually he did change his nick...He used to be 'BoXXxi' which was 'Citizen' status until he got a little flak in a thread for it being so close to the 'Real' BoXXi and was on the verge of being exiled. It was changed the next day and he was promoted...

I do not use stardock products. I have them just I do not like them. to much of a hassle for me in my busy life day to day. I nothing against them either. I am getting a subsciption as soon as I get a printer in about a week or 2
