DeskScapes 10 will not install

from Stardock Forums

I just bought DeskScapes 10.  It starts to install, then instantly gives me an error message. My OS is Windows 10 Pro [64 bit].

Build 18363.778  Version: 1909

 

This is the error message:

On Install Error, Line 630: Argument 2 must be of type string.

Stack Traceback:

1: [Global include script: d:\Jenkins\DeskScapes 10 Installer\workspace\src\Includes\Scripts\_Stardock_SUF70_Global_Functions.lua] Line 630 in function 'Stardock_OnInstallError'

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please refer to below, same problem as mentioned above.

Solution:

The "Controlled Access Folder" in Windows 10 Pro was blocking any changes to any protected folder, and that included any Stardock folders.

When I turned it off, I was allowed to update Start10, and any other Stardock program (I made sure to turn it back on for security reasons.)

Try it and let us know.
