I'm sorry!

I'm sorry!

Everyone who I've upset, I'm sorry. Recently there has been some weird vibes between those who use Bryce, and those who are sick of the lack of moderation of these images.

I expressed my opinions, but they were taken harshly, especially by the moderators, and for that, I apologize. I never meant what I said to hit anyone at home. I was only expressing my opinions. Please, anyone who I upset, forgive me.

As a result of my comments, one of my walls, which had an opening rating of 8, was removed by someone, after slipping to a 3 (despite the wall being good, and having 300+ downloads in less that 5 hours). So I hope things can return to the way they were.

I respect all of you, and all of your work. We may have different styles of work, but we all are talented at what we do, in our own ways. I hope you all can realize where I'm coming from with my opinions and comments, and I hope you can all also forgive me.

Thanks,

macrobaye

Next week's poll: More or less moderation of wallpapers.

You can have my vote now, return to more moderation.

For my own part, I would hesitate to call for removal of the wall section altogether in as much as I don't do walls myself (that would be a little self-serving in some respects) and I don't know what kind of a windows customization site can reasonably call itself such without one. But I do know this, this site used to have only the best walls, I doubt that can be said now. I also think moderation helped some artists to improve.

Somewhere along the line I missed the crystallizing moment when it was decided that moderation was going to be reduced. What I did notice was the sudden flood of walls (10 of the 20 Newest Additions are walls). If it taught me anything it was that the moderators worked very hard to spare us a whole lot of wading. If that was the point, congratulations, you made it. Unfortunately for me, I don't remember complaining about it.

P.S. At one point or another we were all moderated, with a few notable and deserved exceptions, why should things be any different now?

well i'm not imaging it, it went through before, and mysteriously disappeared. and I don't think I would have given it an 8 either, but I would rate it higher than a 4.

BTW, how many moderators/admins are there?

There's been countless threads about the angst of moderation, how beginners can't ever improve if no one sees their stuff, how we were elitist and political, despicable ruthless heartbreakers, etc. Although we remain convinced these people really loved us and just found expressing that difficult in the angst of the moment, we decided to let them know we loved them too by reducing the moderation level a wee bit (!)

Almost all the other sites have no moderation and now have anime, fan-art, brycebythedozen and such. So we still moderate quite a bit, just trying to find that magic point where everyone's happy

so be happy
