Malwarebytes Threat

Is this file legit?

from Stardock Forums

My paid version on Malwarebytes just flagged "start8_1.56_SETUP_SD.EXE" as a threat. Can you confirm this is real file?

I have Win version 8.1

Assuming it came from Stardock directly it should be fine yes and you will be seeing a false positive.

It doesn't say much about Malwarebytes however that it has started to give a false positive on a signed file thats been out since August 2015!
