Activation Failed after product key entered

Purchased and entered product key to activate. Error message "there was a problem connecting to the activation server. Check your connection to the internet and try again or proceed with offline activation.

I tried signing in using login but I have two accounts. Offline activation provides me a file to complete and upload but it only upload in note pad. 

Any help would be appreciated.

Server might of been down at the time try again .
