That said, Fences / Snapshots will not restore icons/files that do not actually already exist on the Desktop.  For example, if you have many icons/files in the backed-up snapshot that do not exist on the new Desktop, Fences will create the Fences themselves but not the icons / files. 

If the files do exist - and they are exactly the same name, then it should include them in the proper Fences.
