Choosing the correct edition

Regret I can't seem to find the answer to my question in the FAQ.

I have one desktop, one laptop, one keyboard, one mouse and two monitors.  Both systems use the monitors in extended mode (i.e. treated as one large screen).  I want to be able to switch/use the two monitors in extended mode, single keyboard and single mouse between the desktop and the laptop.  I don't need "seamless" mode and would rather deliberately "switch" similar to a hardware KVM. It would be nice to be able to cut and paste between computers, but it isn't a deal breaker.  Which version of Multiplicity will best meet these needs?  (I really don't need most of Object Desktop). Thank you!

Hello,

I don't need "seamless" mode
End of quote

Then KM is out and would indicate that the PC you want to connect to is remote (not on the same desk).

With that, and if you only ever need to be connected to 1 remote PC at a time (and only ever one configured to be connected to at any given time), then KVM would be the choice.

If you needed more remotes configured, and concurrently connected to, KVM Pro would be the choice.

Note, when connected to a remote with multiple monitors, you will only ever be able to see 1 at a time with KVM / Pro.  You can use a button to switch between them but only ever view 1 at a time.
