Preview loads, but will not set as background

I just purchased Object desktop and installed Deskscape. I can get the animated background to preview correctly, but when I press the button to apply to my desktop, the current back ground turns black for a few seconds as if the program is trying to work, and then the original background pops back up. The animated background will not actually apply. I have read a LOT of threads and apparently there doesn't seem to be a "one size fits all" solution so I am reaching out for help.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

Is there a reason you are keeping your version of Windows 10 so old - is an update at all possible?

What is the exact version of DeskScapes you are using?

I had actually just updated windows from version 1803. I actually just solved the problem. I ran a compatibility check through windows and manually set the program to be compatible with Windows 8, and now it is working. Very weird as I have windows 10 but hey.. It is working now.
