How to backup Fences layout for new Windows installation?

Hello!

I need to reinstall Windows to new clean installation.
I want to install Fences of course again, but I know not about any backup option.

Is possible to backup Fences layout? Settings are not so important, this is very fast to configure.

I know some locations in AppData folder of Users and also registry entries. But what is really important? I see in registry settings items, but I'm searching for layout. Yet I was not in ProgramData folder.

Thank you for your support.

I think someone needs to update that page for the backups.  Who uses VISTA and XP? Aren't they EOL?

In any case, I tried to follow the similar path as on that page (even though it's difference for Win10) when I get to the Fences3 folder, there is no 'backup' file or folder.  There is only a TXT file called SasLog in the Fences3 folder.

Can someone provide more updated instructions?  I just got a new laptop and would like to move my application over but I want to retain the set up I had on my desktop by simply copy/pasting whatever file it is that needs to be on the new laptop.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

That back up path works for me with Win 10 v2004

@AzDude, geez, I TOTALLY blanked.  I didn't catch the 'ROAMING' folder! <hand to forehead>. Thanks for the screen shot, that helped.  Now, I'll go pull the file, save it to a safe place and move it over onto the new laptop.

Thanks!
