desktop x

ive downloaded some very nie desktop x themes but i was wondering how to access the pictures in the themes. liek to make small alterations so the correct pics show and all. for like minor changes. once i change a graphic i can never get it back. their all liek stored in that wierd "theme" file. is there any way to get to those images and separate out the theme cmponents?

Right click on graphic, click properties, make whatever changes you want and then click on export selected to save.

It's real easy to get at the pictures, do this:

Go to the theme folder in DesktopX, right click the theme you want to get graphics from, and click "Open With WinZip". You can now extract anything you want from the theme file to any other folder on your drive. Easy!.

If you can't see "Open with Winzip", just choose "Open With" and then select Winzip from the list that it gives you.

Remember, .dxtheme files are just renamed zip files, so you could even rename the file .zip instead of .dxtheme, and then just open it with Winzip, but I think the first method is easiest.

lol wow thanx i totally wouldnt have thought of that...though im sure tis obvious to anyone else. im a tonal newb. plus if anyone knows really good tutorials for desktop x id be greatful
