Fences make computer freeze for several seconds

Hovering over minimized icon window will sometimes make computer freeze up (including any sound playing)

So i have set up my fences so the different icons are in minimized windows (only the window title showing), and when i hover over the title the icons appear.

Sometimes, specially (but not exclusively) when i do it for the first time after reboot, hovering over a fences window will make the entire computer freeze up, almost as if it crashed. After a few seconds it unfreeze and the icons load slowly from blank white icons to normal icons. If i have any sound playing when the freeze occurs, the sound will also freeze, playing one note repeatedly until it unfreeze. Video, like youtube, will also freeze up. In short, the entire computer completely freezes to a halt while fences decides if it wants to work properly.

If i change the windows to not be minimized, startup takes slightly longer, and the icons load visibly slowly (can see the icons turn slowly from white blank icons to actual icons).

It is as if the loading of the icons is given 100% of system resources while it occurs. Why it isn't throttled somewhat so the system won't freeze up is beyond me. Would seem like an easy fix, but what do i know.

OS: Windows 10 pro, just did windowsupdate before typing this to make sure all updates are installed.
Fences version: 3.0.9.11 (tried to "check for updates" but no updates found)

I have 2 screens connected. Have tried unplugging one screen without any change in behaviour. All icon "fences" are on main screen.

Have also tried uninstalling fences, rebooting, and installing fences again with newly downloaded version from stardock.com.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Would like to suggest to try the purge and reinstall steps : https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#reinstalling

Just to be sure, re-download the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall it, reboot again. Retest and report back.

Thanks

Basj,

As mentioned in my original post, i have tried reinstalling the software, but as per your instructions i have now tried uninstalling, running the bat-file, restarting, installing new download from your page (downloaded nov. 7th, but i've now downloaded once again just to be sure).

The problem still persist.

I understand you want people to do the bat thing but i mean.. most of what you replied i have allready tried. Guess you just have to go trough the default autoreplies first......
