Fences Stopped Working after Recent Windows Update

Windows 10 Pro updated last night to version 1803, OS build 17124.1069 and now I get an error message "Fences has detected that Explorer was not closed properly. As a precaution, Fences has been temporarily disabled." Enabling Fences does not work (get same message) and reinstalling Fences 3 does not solve the issue.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try the purge and reinstall steps mentioned here : https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#reinstalling

Just make sure to re-download latest version from your account. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after installation finished. Retest and report back here.

Thanks

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

Also, is this in a corp environment - one where WebSense / Forcepoint is used?

I tried the purge/reinstall and it did not work.

Yes, it is a corporate environment and they just started using WebSense/Forcepoint.

Hello again,

It is known that Websense/Forcepoint is having issues with Fences. Please try working with your corporate IT guy to set Websence/Forcepoint such a way that Fences could work without interference from it.
