I had to reset my computer. I've used Stardock since Windows 10 came out. I own it. What do I do? I can't live without it. I hate the interface on Windows 10?
Update did not complete. Could not open request. Installer will quit.

When you say Stardock , what do you mean Start10 won't install or what ?

Sorry, yes, I meant Start10.
What am I doing wrong? I downloaded the .bat and uninstalled it. I rebooted my computer, but I still got the same message.

3) When you mentioned above, what do you mean. Please explain. What update did not complete? Which program is sending the error "Could not open request. Installer will Quit"?

I don't believe in computer gremlins, but here is what has happened since you posted your last response.
I ran the installer again, and this time it installed like a charm. I configured it, and this time, all the items that I wanted on my Start10 menu appeared.
I have no idea what happened. I was told that there was an update available. I was terrified. I downloaded the update and rebooted my computer as instructed.
Life is good again!

When I ran the .exe file, I got a message that there was an update. I said sure, let's get the update. Start10 did not install, and instead, I got the error message that you reference above. The second time I tried to do the install, I said not to install the update, because I thought that the update might be causing the problem. I got an error message.
I have a screenshot of the message about the update and did I want it. I don't have screenshots of the error messages.
Start10 is running. Why it installed, I don't know. I did have to reboot my computer again because Carbonite was complaining, and it was after that reboot that I was able to install Start10's latest version.
I have no idea why the installation worked this time. It did. I'm happy. Thankfully, I don't have to look at Microsoft's horrible interface. I love yours.
FYI, I've sold a lot of your product. After Windows 10 came out, everyone I knew hated the tiles. They would come over and see that I had the old, familiar desktop. I sent them right to you to buy it. I have contributed to your bottom line.
