I've read elsewhere that uninstalling and reinstalling may fix the issue of fences not allowing you to move them on the desktop. I'm willing to give that a try, but where can I download the software? I have a valid license key, but the site seems to want to force me to purchase it again rather than allowing me to download and then activate it with my key.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, please try to see if you're not locking the fences first. Right click anywhere on your desktop -> view -> Lock Fences : untick it to unlock fences.

That was it, thanks! I remembered that option existed, but couldn't find it. I was looking in the Fences context menu.
