Increasing number of recent items in programs' submenus

Hello, I was wondering if there is any way to increase number of recent items in programs' submenus. For example, for Microsoft Word (and every other program), once I hover on top of it, only 9 documents show. The same applies to all other programs. Is there any way to increase this number?

Hi, that can be done in Windows 10, but requires a registry tweak . . . If you okay with it you can try these steps:

Click your Start Button, type regedit and hit Enter to open the Registry Editor

Navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

On the right-side, look for an entry named JumpListItems_Maximum.

If there is no such entry, you need to create one by right-clicking on the empty area, clicking New, clicking DWORD (32-bit) Value, and name it as JumpListItems_Maximum

Double click that DWORD and set its value to 20 or 30

Close the Registry Editor and restart your system

Thank you,

Thank you. I was able to do this, but unfortunately it only works when using the "Windows 10 Style" of view, it did not change the number of items when using the "Windows 7 Style" or "Modern Style" under Start 10.

Great, this works! Thank you. Seems that others have been searching and requesting the same idea. Perhaps this should be incorporated into the regular options menu for Start10.
