Still no close button?

Can you guys please add a Close button?  Virtually all Windows apps have a Close button in the title bar.  Why not Groupy?  It can't be too hard since you already Close All menu option.

Here, I'll even write the code for you:

private void CloseAllButton {

    this.CloseAll() //put the real name of the function here.
}

Have you estimated the work effort to add a close button?

I believe the request was send to our internal feature request forum post to Stardock Support Team for their review and recommendations. I can't tell you when or if it will be implemented. We really do appreciate your feedback.
Thanks.

Did you estimate it?  If you're following agile methodology, this can't be more than a 1 or 2 point story.

You are aware of this, yes?

Yes, I think we are, as the topic opener mentioned this option.

But a convenient click at the top right of the window to close it seems reasonable.
And the menu item won't work if there's only one active tab in the window.

Yes, of course, we're aware of this menu.  The issue is not of functionality but of ease of use/convenience.

What we're proposing is that there should be an x in the upper-right that closes the window group.

To use the existing method, here are the steps required:

  1. Click on the 3 dots menu
  2. Read/scan through 11 menu items looking for the one that closes all windows.  Depending on how many tabs are open in the window, this menu may or may not be enabled.
  3. If it's enabled, click on it.
  4. If it's not enabled, read/scan through the menu items a second time looking for one that closes the window
  5. Actually, there is no menu item that closes the window, so exit out of the menu.
  6. Click on the x that closes the menu.

Here are the steps required if our suggestion is enacted:

  1. Click on the x in the upper right hand corner.

Do you now see the difference between these two workflows?
