grayhaze, when I read this earlier I got a visual of back alley New York Punk Clubs of the late 70's and early 80's. Wndy O sticking microphones where the inventor never imagined them being placed. Black electrical tape in stratigic locations, spiked hair, Rooster mowhawks 18 inchs high. Blue, Purple and Maroon hair so deep they all look black unless the light hits it right, Rust, Red, Orange, White, Tellow, Green and Pink hair. Razor blades, baby pins, combat boots, black nylons (torn at the knees, Black leather pants and jackets, chains, kilts, tartan zoot suit jackets. Garbage, refuse and clutter in the gutter, someone bending into a wire trash can puking the nights tribute so they can continue until morning.

I just had to think about my first visit in London in the mid-eigties. A bit late for the real thing, but there were still many punks hanging arround in special places. The neo-punks of today are nothing compared to those.
