Folder Portals not refreshing automatically

from Stardock Forums

I have made a Folder Portal to the default Downloads folder.

Deleting items through the Folder portal works fine.

However, when I delete a file using windows explorer, Fences does not update/reflect the change made (I can still see the file in the fence).

I then have to manually right click the portal and select refresh to see that the file has actually been deleted.

 

Is there any fix for this?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Would like to know more.

1) Windows version. Please use winver.exe for full window version numbers.

2) Fences version installed.

3) Location of that folder portal. Local or network drive.

Windows 10 Pro - Version 1903 (OS Build 18362.207)

Fences Version 3.09.11

Downloads folder I guess is local.

 

I just tried to create a test folder in C:\ and it works properly, but not downloads folder

All fixed, I had to make a folder in the C:// and not use the default downloads folder

Hello. Got the same issue with "Recent" folder. Any clues to fix it?

Just tested on my system. No issue. Portal Fences to it, update instantly. Please try remove the portal fences and recreate.
