Program Icons not showing in Start10

top of menu cut off

I used and liked Start8 with Windows 8.

Now with Windows 10 Home 64-bit v. 1809 and Start10 v 1.71 trial, I am having a couple issues that might keep me  from buying and using Start10.

On my laptop, whether in Windows 7 style or Modern style, the top of the menu is cut off. In Windows 7 style, the top 3  programs are missing on the 15-inch laptop screen, but show on an extended, larger screen. In Modern style, the user picture is cut off on the laptop screen, but all the program icons are visible. I have turned off "recently used applications" and there is empty space on the program list.

Also, when I click on "All Programs", not all programs show up, notably my MS Office apps. They show up on the pinned list, but not the all program list.

I didn't have either of these problems with Start8 on a 15-inch laptop.

Any suggestions?

The Start10 menu when I click it on extended screen. On a second screen, I can see the full Start10 Menu, with all the pinned apps. For some reason, Start10 doesn't scale properly on the laptop screen.

Hello,

Need to know

1) What is the actual size, resolution and scaling applied to both screen?

2) How many icons was set on that Start10 Configure -> "Allocate room for at least XX large icons" option?

Thank you,

The laptop screen is 1920 x 1080 and scaling is 150%.

I changed it to 125% and can see the whole menu, but the text is small and hard to read. It is much smaller than the text on the external monitor. If I use large icons, then I can see hardly any of them, nowhere near 30.

I set Start10 to allocate space for at least 30 large icons.

The external monitor is 1680 x 1050 and scaling is 100%.Start10 laptop menu with scaling 125%

Than you should adjust the 30 large Icons to lower so it will fit the 150% scaling monitors. And  you can always set the Start10 menu to expand horizontally if you need more icons space using this setting:

Thanks. Changed scaling back to 150% and allocated for 14 large icons.  Looks good now!  If I need more programs, I will change to two rows of icons.
