Windowblinds is just the blind. WinStyles is a collection of various things. WB, CursorXP, Wall, SysMetric, Logon, kind of like a complete package. Just depends on what the Author puts in the WinStyle.

But remember that when using WinStyles you'll still need to install the individual components mentioned by WOM.

Think of WinSytles as a theme packager and manager for all the components that it can change (WindowBlinds, IconPackager, Wallpaper, DesktopX, etc.)  You need to have the components installed to be able to apply the package.

WinStyles, in theory, should automatically download the programs you need to use it with.

When you change your desktop, you've really got your Windows GUI (title bars and push buttons), your icons, your desktop itself, your mouse cursors, your wallpaper, your MP3 player, etc.

Each of those items is handled by an individual program. WindowBlinds does the GUI. IconPackager does the icons, etc.

What WinStyles does is allow people to create suites, a single big old file that contains all that stuff together. Then WinStyles, behind the scenes, calls the individual programs to do their thing. It's like the conductor of an orchestra.
