All 1 icon width fences have become 2 icon width fences

Cannot create 1 icon width fences

Two days ago, my only 1-icon-width fences became 2-icon-width fences.  I can alter the width and length of the fences, but when I make the fence 1-icon wide, the icons are STILL 2 icons wide (so I cannot see the rest of the icons)

I have tried varying the width and length without success.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

What version of Windows are you running ?

What version of fences are you running ?

Purged, then re-installed.

I lined up 14 icons vertically and created a fence around them.  Immediately became a two icon wide fence.

Had an idea that maybe I could turn off/on "align to grid" for desktop.  It did not work either way.

Spent a lot of time doing this.  I cannot use Fences if it does not allow one-icon wide fences.  My drives including mapped drives are aligned on the right.  (14-16 icons)  My system resources are on the left (This PC, Task Manager, Settings, Device Manager, Network, etc., etc. )

I am just going to go back to DeskSave (which memorizes my icon positions.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

Holding your Ctrl key down, use your middle mouse wheel to resize the icons on the desktop - see if it allows the proper width after.

If that fails, try seeing you change your desktop DPI resolves it.

Sean,  The change of the magnification of the screen (Ctrl-zoom with wheel) fixed it!  I must have accidentally zoomed in on the Desktop at some point recently.

Now I just have to find out where the amount of zoom on the desktop is shown.  (If I zoom in on my browser, it shows the magnification in the address bar on the right side.)  I will figure this one out on my own!

Thanks for your help.  I DO use zoom in my browser, but never intended to use it on the Desktop.

Best regards,

Donald Pulitzer
